"Sky Knight" Variations

Post by Joe Huth » Wed Aug 16, 2006 1:43 pm

I uploaded this clip to YouTube...it's something I happened to notice when watching the syndicated version of "Sky Knight" versus the NBC version. In one version, Michael calls for KITT and a close up of the comlink is seen and the Microlock button isnt. It the syndicated version, there is no comlink but there IS the Microlock button! Check it out:

I'm fairly sure on the Playback DVD of it is the same as the Syndicated print, as in it shows Michael saying "Stop that van" from the long angle.

Sleuth Channel happened to show this episode today, and when I was watching it this morning, I noticed that there was no sound effect when KITT activated the Microlock. I'm not sure why they changed that scene (perhaps they wanted to give a reason why the van stopped before KITT even got in front of it), but could the fact that they just threw the Microlock sequence into the syndicated version be the reason why there was no sound effect? (i.e. it was never shown in the original NBC episode, so there's no sound effect when it happens in the syndicated version, that sequence might've been taken from another episode or could've been stock footage)
