SCANNER ADD ONS

Post by T.A.H.O.E. » Sat Aug 05, 2006 10:11 pm

GREETINGS ALL- T.A.H.O.E. HERE & sorta new to the board...my other log on name went with the old p.c. after a lightining surge-ouch.

I got a three point question-sans upgrading-replacing the scanner on m'ride
(a new Flag prototype based on both a story I wrote & the actual vehicle I own & chose to install it in...!- aka "KR-New England" )

where can I get a battery powered motion sensor to tie into the scanner, then to the alarm in the vehicle...?

ditto for KARRs Scanner sound (mp3 -wav files to cd )...?

green scanner light...? -not the KR/UK-too costly-nice tho!

Oooh for the record, I'd take Bonnie & reprogram/repaint KARR and stuff him in a charcoal grey, modified 85 Camaro Berlinetta with all the options -digi-dash,etc...

the only guys i know of that do scanners with sound are these guys
http://www.knight-f2k4.com
I highly recomend them and they ship any where
plus there scanners do various patterns that were done on the show
not just scan back n forth..
you cant go wrong with Brenon's scanners and electronics they rock :D

apparently you can rig up a motion sensor from the rear parking modules, but a cheaper alternative is to use one from a motion sensor security light with a power inverter to change it to 12v

A FRIEND OF MINE SUGGESTED A MOTION SWITCH-SENSOR FROM A PAPER TOWEL DISPENSOR...

IT'S BATTERY POWERED (THE KIND FOUND IN CORP BLDGS AND RESTARAUNTS)
Hmmmmmm.....!
