Knight Rider Games on PlayStation2?

Post by sidemachine » Wed Aug 02, 2006 1:19 am

Greetings fellow Knight Rider fans.

Please forgive my ignorance but I must ask: Are there any Knight Rider games for the PlayStation2 used in the U.S.A.?

I ask this because I searched for such games on eBay but only came up with K.R. games for the PC format and PS2 K.R. games from other countries.

I'm not PS2 savvy so I don't know if games for PS2 in other countries are compatible with U.S. PS2s.

Any explanation / info would be greatly appreciated.

[I own a PS2 but am not an avid gamer.]

Best wishes,

Davilex never got the green light for producing KR or KR2 (i think) for USA. Though if your ps2 is chipped.... no doubt you could play a UK version.

K.I.T.T. / Nick,

Thanks so much for the response.

Chipped? Hmmnn..... How do I tell if my PS2 is chipped or not?

Curiouser & curiouser...

Wondering,

Some game shops do it... its like turning your DVD player into a multi reg player so you can play dvds from usa on a uk player or the opposite, but for the PS2.

But it's not really worth it, since both of the KR games are s***e, and so was Miami Vice. Here's hoping Davilex don't get to ruin anymore decent 80's licences, like Airwolf.

Chipping Costs?

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

K.I.T.T./Nick,

Just wondering if you know about how much it costs to get the conversion done.

Thanks!

K.I.T.T. / Nick,

Thanks for the reply!

I appreciate how cool everyone is here on the K.R. forums. I only got on my nostalgic Knight Rider "kick" this past Saturday/Sunday. I wish it had started a long time ago. It would have brought me here sooner.

A buddy of mine at work lent me his Season One DVD K.R. set and I've been watching them. I plan to buy my own 1 through 4, though.

Anyhow, I'll look into the whole conversion thing with my gamer friends. If I find out how much it costs, I'll post the info here.

Best wishes,
sidemachine
