My husband is a Knight Rider Fan, and a fan of Transams as well.
Lately he's been watching the whole seasons on DVD so naturally, I have taken a lil interest.
My question is: (actually it was his question)
What is that bar that is under the car when looking from the frontal view of Kitt?? He said it is usually gone when they use the other stunt car for things, but in every episode, when Kitt is driving along, there is this bar underneath Kitt and we can't figure it out!!
Any suggestions or input would be helpful!!

It's a tow bar used by the camera car that usually tows the car around for
the scenes where you see David driving. Many of the driving scenes they
are towing the vehicle behind a specially made car or truck that holds
the filming equipment. Obviously, they wouldn't mount them to the stunt
cars as they would be destroyed. Hope that helps.
Oh, and welcome to the board!
