I'm almost afraid to ask, but what on earth would possibly make you think it's going to be a "stupid gangster movie"? There has been one press release saying that it will have a slightly darker tone than the series. That's pretty much all we know about it.

C'mon guys this is getting ridiculos. Don't belive everything you hear please. Most is mearly speculation.

J-Knight is right. There hasn't even been a script or anything written so far yet people are starting to freak out already. The press release said that they probably won't even start shooting for another two years. I think we should all just be happy that a movie is even going to be made, with what we've all had to deal with in the past years.

The Hollywood Reporter printed that Larson anticipated the movie to begin production next year.

I wouldn't get all excited period. I mean no offense but there was a time when it was also official that Revolution Studios was going to make the film, it was all over the media..... just like this. When I hear news of casting and set building, then I will be excited lol. Until then.... meh.

For the record when Michael Mann the original Executive Producer of Miami Vice was announced that He was onboard to Executive Produce and write the script for the new Miami Vice Movie which is in Theatre's in July that was 4 years ago. Which is exactly the same stage the Knight Rider Movie is in now. So it could even be as much as 4 years away yet.
