Kitt's role in Season 4

Watching Season 4, I realised thet Kitt's role declined in the season. Kitt utilizes less and less functions, even the trademark Turbo Boosts are missing. They added Super Pursuit Mode, only to be used in the first third of the season! In many episodes, Kitt doesn't even chase down the criminal of the week, it's usually RC3 who aids Michael. In the last few episodes, Kitt doesn't even talk as much as he used to previously. In Knight Flight to Freedom, he is reduced to a vehicle, speaking only a few lines! Why did the creators of the show reduced Kitt's "screen time"? He was the actual star of the show, not The Hoff...

Universal didn't want to fund the show as much as they used to anymore due to declining audience ratings, therefore, we saw less stunts and action...I think season 4's style was more plot orientated and the villains portrayed more sharply as a whole to compensate for the lack of stunts.

Yeah I was disappointed with season 4, from what I have seen on tv. I haven't watched them on dvd yet. I just started watching the first 3 seasons again. If I had to pick I think the best season was season 3.
