Hello all, I was just wondering who it is that drives the Semi in seasons 1,2 and 3? I know in 4 it's RC3. I ask only because you see shots of it driving, but Devon and Bonnie/April are always in the back.
Just curious.

RC3 doesn't always drive it in season 4. I got the impression that he is a backup driver. I've seen shots where someone was driving the semi (and you could see a white arm), and then it cut to show RC3 in the back with the rest of them. I'd just say that in seasons 1, 2, and 3 (plus when it's not RC3 in season 4), the semi driver is just some random Foundation dude. RC3 goes out on missions too often with Michael to be the only semi driver.

Your probably right, I'd never really thought about it that way, the foundation dude I mean. Cheers.

From what I've seen in S4, they made RC3 the regular driver of the semi.
But since having him in the cab would remove him from the dialogue in the back - or limit them to scenes with the semi stationary - it seems they came up with the idea that the semi has an automatic pilot. Probably a less advanced version of KITT. The semi can drive itself, but that's probably all. Just a guess.
In earlier seasons, I also guess it was just some unseen, unheard Foundation employee/driver.

In the knight Rider Legacy book it says Bonnie Designed the Semi to drive by it's self but the foundation had to have someone sitting behind the wheel at all times i guess for it not to look suspiciouse?

The semi was also coated in MBS, if I remember correctly. It could drive itself (don't remmber which episode this is mentioned??) but I guess they needed a driver in case they attracted attention from the passing public.

Mmm, if I remember, the episode kitt vs karr, karr turbo boosted into the back of the semi with no problem so for the semi to have MBS? I might be wrong though.

Yeah, I could be wrong on this. Everyone knows Goliath had MBS.

Hmm i don't think it was that vunerable. We are talking about an allmost indestructable car flying throught the back. Its not as if the picked a lock or something
