Nitpicking The Wrong Crowd

Post by HungarianKnight » Thu Apr 13, 2006 11:57 am

I was just watching the episode and I noticed two mistakes. First of all, when the "Ferret" car is hijacked, we see it zooming past the test track and from its internal cameras, we can see that the Semi is parked on the side of the road? How? The Semi is supposed to be hijacked too and is many miles away from the test site.

The second is when Kitt is chasing the Ferret with Bonnie and Michael on board. The motorcycler bandits are escaping and Kitt Microlocks their bikes. However, he says that he can not do Microlock and transmit data to the Ferret at the same time. Kitt has no multi-tasking computing abilities? I can't belive this...

i bet you he has multi tasked before:
EG: Auto Cruise and Talk.
He would have to be able to multitask.

Or, Auto Cruise, and berade Michael for playing video games on his system, or taunt him because he's winning a chess game or blackjack game against Michael. :)

Heck, he even gets his wheel bumped in I think "Inside Out" was it where Michael had to kidnap that guy and take his place? KITT had to compensate for that, berade Michael, open his auto roof on voice command, and eject the guy into a tree.

I think that scene you're mentioning is yet another inconsistancy in the story lines. But I didn't even notice it until it was mentioned here. :)

Being that they were driving away from the source that KITT was microlocking, maybe he needed to focus all his energy resources on this occasion.

Michael often says "Give me everything you got on....[eg] Turbo Boost" and to put all power into one particular function, so at these points KITT multitasks to a lesser degree.

Did anyone else think the actor that played Anne Gallaway's father looked just like William Daniels?

I Know in the begining of one episode, KITT was on auto cruise while Michael played Pac-Man. :kitt2: :dash: :kittside:

I get the impression that KITT uses some sort of directional antenna or dish to do the microjamming. It's possible that he needs to channel all of the EM output into a tight beam in order to microjam, and that interferes with his ability to transmit otherwise, due to there only being one main antenna. The antenna probably has to be in a different configuration to microjam.
