they were suppose to do that last winter ,but they was some stupid delay and it never happend!...I did send a email to them asking that they do a veriable line of trans ams from 1982 to 1992!....there was no reply!
"Really?....some people are simply just too much!"
I used to think that Wilton took Michael's Trans Am and built KITT out of it...but actually not! KITT was already in the planning (and KARR had already been built out of a similar car). In one of the season 2 episodes (the one where Michael loses his memory and goes back to being Michael Long), April shows a newspaper clipping from when Michael was "killed", and the title was "Michael Long's Car Found". So that leads me to believe that the Trans Am was just left in the desert, along with a body for the cops to find. I believe that the fact that Michael had a Trans Am in the pilot was intended as foreshadowing, not that that car actually became KITT. Michael originally thought they took his car and made KITT out of it too, but Devon corrected him.
And, yea...while the fact was barely glanced over beyond several paragraphs in the pilot, it is written that K.I.T.T. is not Michael's Trans-Am. And, as in so many things about the show, facts are both too often sketchy and/or left to interpretation.
Originally, collectors were made aware of RC2's plans to produce a 1:18 scale model of the 1982 Trans Am Recaro edition in 2005, but since then there has been no word on the project.
Are there still plans to release this model or any Trans Am variable from 1982 to 1992?
Thank you for your time."
THEIR REPLY:
"Phil-
Right now there are no plans to introduce a 1982 Trans Am Recaro edition in the coming months.

Deveon actualy says KITT is not Michael's Trans Am in the pilot ep by saying "The similarities between this car and you own are purely circumstantial i can asure you"
