For these in-car shots they usually use cut-up cars that either are put on a trailer or are towed by using a tow truck like mechanism where the front wheels are lifted of...

imo the best program for dvd screen caps is Cyberlink PowerDVD, its not freeware but its worth every penny.

Ive been using it for mistake spotting for a year now without any probs, actually i just finished searching KR season 1 for Visible crew and cameras and ill post them soon....96 pics so far
