Curious, does the 1/43 scale KITT/KARR made by Aoshima dashboard lights up as well like the Diamond Select 1/18 KITT?

I suspect it is because you cannot control a gullwing wheel as well as you can with a round one.

I best a roundone can be turned and controlled far more safely than a Gullwing.

Curious, I've heard that the gullwing steering wheel is not street legal for owners of KITT replicas within the US. Why is this the case? Is it less secured for driving as oppose to a rounded steering wheel? Perhaps this would explain why the stuntmen used a rounded steering for the stunts?

I live in L.A. and yes, we have traffic jams. And there were lots of traffic jams in the 80s when KITT was turbo boosting all over the place. There are still plenty of times when I'm driving in and around the city at 65 mph. (I never go past the speed limit of course :) )

KITT has to turbo boost! It got them out of many situations and is a necessary function of KITT. To take that away would just limit his capabilities and would be a step backwards.

As far as turbo boosts go, that was a pretty small jump. It may simply have been that the reinforced shocks were enough to handle it since the jump wasn't very high.
