I brought my lunch into work today in my Knight Rider lunchbox. This is a box I got back when the show was still on the air. I haven't opened it in many man years. Inside, there was a tiny newspaper clipping. It was something I cut out from an article talking about the new TV schedule and a new show coming out:
"Knight Rider, it should be pointed out, actually managed to make a dent in last season's 'Dallas' audience and should pick up even more momentum in this new schedule spot. Besides, it is also built around a souped-up tire-screecher...and how much rubber can television burn at one time?"
Care to guess what the other "souped-up tire-screecher" was?

Dukes of hazzard. man, I'll never forgive that show, for killing "The incredible hulk.".
KITT: I walked right into that one, didn't I?
Michael: More like Turbo Boosted.

Re: Long lost KR clipping found
It wasn't Dukes. Dukes came out before Knight Rider, this was a show that came out later.
Re: Long lost KR clipping found
Could it maybe be Hardcastle & McCormick if not I concur with Street hawk.
Re: Long lost KR clipping found
By the time Knight Rider came on the Dukes was an 8PM show, and I am pretty sure Knight Rider was also Friday's @8. I can't remember what else was on on Sunday Nights when it changed nights, but I know the Dukes lasted till, i think the year before KR was cancelled.
