Holding out for KITT
Here's more proof that the Hoff refuses to let us fans down. Here's a little story with the Hoff's comments on the new movie...
Hasselhoff Holds Out for Talking Kitt in Movie
A new big-screen version of Knight Rider has endured a two year delay - because movie bosses wanted to mute the show's trademark talking car, Kitt.
But David Hasselhoff, who starred in the original 1982 TV series and is taking the lead in the upcoming remake, has insisted the vehicle have a voice of its own or he wouldn't make the film.
He says, "It's stupid. There's no film without a talking car.
"So we waited for two years and we won. The car will talk."

I feel that David shoud do whatever he enjoys doing in life, and what makes him happy. I have read of accounts giving evidence that he's just as much a Knight Rider fan as we all are and I'm sure he does want to make the movie. Sometimes things get held up. I too would love to see this movie very soon. But David's the one that has to make that choice. He's a talented actor and singer, and whatever he does, it's entertaining, even if it doesn't involve KITT.
Right now, I think his world tour DOES include KITT on stage at some point, doesn't it? I think I read that somewhere? So maybe he's already doing some pre-marketing, of sorts, trying to get interest in the idea of KITT and the movie to those that may not have grown up watching Knight Rider. Then he might make his move when more are jumping on the bandwagon.

Yes, because Hollywood sucks these days and is either out of original ideas, or just refuses to make that many original scripts anymore if they can make money recycling other people's ideas. Even the big directors like Oliver Stone, Peter Jackson, Martin Scorsese, etc. have been making films that are recycled ideas, whether they're biographies, remakes, sequels, etc.Haley wrote:I feel like all the TV shows that were around when I was a toddler are making it to the big screen now. I guess the odds are in favor of a new Knight Rider movie.
