that is totally sweet. That the same style hood I was thinking of adding last year. Mad props for keeping the 1992 T/A ground effects. If only GM made a ram air option for the third gens this could have been Kitt! :D

Yeah, sweet car. I love the 95s. Tried to post on your cardomain page but couldn't remember my login password, d'oh. I keep all this stuff written down so I had to dig out my big book of passwords. I love the interior on your car. It is beutifull. I though about doing a red interior on mine. [/quote]

I'm tinkering with the idea of detailed red bits in the dash, like vents, head unit, and steering wheel. Don't know yet.

Anyway, thanks man.

Better get off this box before someone gripes about being off topic..

Now maybe if they took a 3rd gen and made it look all mean and bad @$$ like this one, it would be good enough for the feature film. For those of you out there who would want to see a 3rd gen T/A used in the new film 8)

The link was in a message for another CD site for an 87 Firebird called RedRaif. It's linked on my CD site. The RedRaif is a little on the flashy side, but it's interesting work none the less. Gotta love the voice box replacing the center a/c vents on the dash. :D

actually the first and second year of the 3rd gen T/A had ram air that offset hood scoop was connected directly into the airbox where the air filters were (only if you had the CrossFire engine) when air struck the windsheild it would be deflected into the opening of the scoop (the part that faced the driver) airflow would go from the scoop opening to the air intake. later T/As and formula V8 firebirds had the hood but the intake was not functional. my dad had a 82 Recaro T/A reminded me of kitt with the black paint and the ttops, the 'bowlingball' hubcaps :D so i know that it had ram air but it was called 'forced air induction' or something like that

my $0.02 8) 8)

Cool. Love the Recaro editions. Check mine out, it no recaro, but I'm trying to include their styling cues. Links on my signature. The offset hood functioned more like a "cold air induction" setup than "true" ram air, but ya gotta agree Kitt would have looked a lot more cooler sporting a true ram air hood 8) The offset hood started in 1980 with the Turbo Trans Am. If you watch 'Smokey and the Bandit 2', AMC ran it two nights ago, you see Trigger with the familiar Kitt style hood. Remember T/As ran "true" ram, ram air II or IV systems, from 1967 to 1974, then the "shaker" hood gave way to the "forced air induction" hood familiar on early 3rd gen T/As. Sorry drifted a little off topic... :)

You all have such great amazing looking cars!
What do you do for a living? ;)

Don't shoot me for this but I don't like the hood with two 'nose holes'.
I prefer the other one.
But the interior was done very slick.

What comments do you get from bystanders when the ones of you drive around in your black 'Kitt' Trans Ams?

Did anyone ever say to you: Oh god another one who thinks he's Knight Rider....?

Congratulations though to all of you with such wonderful cars, you've done an magnificent job!

Drive safe!

The ram air Kitt truly stirs the F-car fanatics soul, but the purist in me eventually wins out. That's why I decided to keep the standard Kitt hood on my car :D . I got mad dogged by some guy in some 'Fast and the Furious' inspired Honda Accord a few weeks ago driving with my girlfriend in Pasadena, but other than that no one really notices 8) . Bet he was running "NAAAAAWS" and thought he could take me!

Don't sweat it, Dude. No one gets shot here. Maybe flamed every now and then, but never shot. Unless, of course, KI is haveing a bad day. BUT ANYWAY!

I wasn't to hip on the hood of my car at first either. But it has grown on me, and I don't believe I'll be changeing. You never know though.

Thank you for your comments though. She's a work in progress.
