Sci-Fi Channel Marathon
Sci-Fi Channel will have marathons of Knight Rider and Sliders in early August, possibly both on August 3, for promotion for the DVD releases both are getting on Aug 3. More details will come soon, but Sci-Fi is planning lots of promos for these DVD's on-air and online.
Sci-Fi Channel is owned by Universal-NBC, which also owns Knight Rider and Sliders.

o.O
Good question... but I agree with Sweetinsanity (o.O do you live in the asylum too?)!
Did anyone notice that in season one KITT's scanner doesn't match the "whoosh" sound he makes? I guess I am slow... because I just noticed it yesterday while watching a Knight Rider rerun

Marathons like this one seem to be more geared towards advertising the DVD release and informing the uninformed. We are already ahead of the curve by knowing that the sets will be out by then. So the marathons aren't really for us, the hardcore fans, but for the general viewers.
It may also be that the Marathon will contain a selection of the best episodes, rather than a block of one season.

When Captain Planet was introduced on Cartoon Network in India, all 12 hours of the channel were spent in showing episodes of that show. I saw some, and saw them again, and got bored. Besides, I never really liked that show much.
On Bravo, in UK, I heard they showed all 13 episodes of Street Hawk, for 24 hours. That is one thing which I didn't approve of, since there were few episodes, and 24 hours. Can actually reduce interest in the show. 2-4 hours are enough, why 24? Even worse if you don't really like that show.
