Catch KR 2000 or KR 2010 this month.

Post by neps » Sun Feb 01, 2004 6:38 pm

Just a reminder; Sci-Fi is also airing the two movies this month, but at 3 am EST.

Feb 17th at 3 am: Knight Rider 2000

Feb 18th at 3 am: Knight Rider 2010

Personally for those who don't know Knight Rider 2010 isn't worth watching. No KITT no Michael. Knight Rider 2000 on the other hand is the 1990 Knight Rider reunion movie that stared David Hasselhoff and William Daniels as KITT. It's def worth watching for a perspective of what happened in the future, although sadly KITT isn't in his traditional car.

And silly Sci-Fi's Schedulebot has Knight Rider listed as one word. I guess beggars can't be choosers.

But you can see KITT in his traditional form at the beginning of the movie.

I started to watch Knight rider 2010 it was so boring that I stopped watching it 15 minutes in.However Knight Rider 2000 is a very cool movie that I enjoy watching.I still think they shouldnt have killed Devon and replaced Michael with Shawn.

Maybe Sci-Fi plans to bring back Knight Rider in March then? Who knows.

personally i prefer 2010 to 2000, as long as you know it's a completely new take on the morals and ideals behind knight rider before you watch it i think it's a far better movie. the first time i watched it i didn't like it, but then i saw it again a while later and with the knowledge that it's a completely new start to a completely new story, i settled down to watch it the way it was meant to be watched and it was great.

it was actually the highest rated movie out of the rash of pilots made at that time (beating hercules etc) but never made it to a series somehow :S

i loved the scene where they build the car, very tongue-in-cheek with the main character ignoring all the cliched sports cars etc ;) and could have opened up a brilliantly original love story as the series progressed, a kind of "so close and yet so far" kind of a story, as he is with the one he loves but at the same time she's dead...!

2000 was rather disappointing i thought. still good, but just didn't have that "knght rider feel" about it, the whole one man can make a difference thing just wasn't there, they killed off you-know-who, and it just seemed like a poor rehash of KOTP. :S

i know i stand in the minor minor minor minority on this board when it comes to these movies but give me 2010 over 2000 anyday... although it shouldn't have been called "2010" but maybe a it further off...
