This is quite late, but that trailer is something else and that voice is frighteningly good. How does he do that?
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

Re: Knight Rider: The Fan Game
I'd kind of want to see kitt have to use his high traction drop downs for offroad/rough terrain.I'd also like to see him deflate his tires if he has to be deactivated. The high traction dropdowns for climbing a hilltop with an incline.Even is it only made a 1 episode appearence the flamethrower from his rear from Deadly Manuevers. It adds to kitt's rear capabilities aside from smokescreen and oil slick.I'd love a spyhunter moment to be able to use 2 or 3 in a chase sequence, different options you can choose to go with for each chase.a grapling hook sceen where you have to either stop a villian on foot, car,or save someone from going over a cliff.olfactory scanner to sniff out scenets like a good hound dog he was in a few episodes.printer,ID printer to have Michael go undercover to find new information.Chemical analyzer to analyze objects.kitt/karr utilizing full power mbs to blast through thick walls.Tint windows with auto cruise to deceive villians into thinking Michael is leaving to throw them off.Comprehensive configuration analyzer before each boss battle to highlight on his screen the weakspot.Tracking scope to home in on people and vehicles. Those are just a few of the abilities I'd love to see used in the game. When I think of more I'll let you know

Re: Knight Rider: The Fan Game
Thanks for your input, Knight Racer! Most of what you said is already planned, like the traction spikes and grapling hook. Thanks for your suggestions, we'll certainly add them to our list!
CloudKITT, thanks for the compliments! We were contacted by a fellow fan who wanted to voice KITT and he does an awesome job!

Before driving K.I.T.T. at the beginning of the game, why not let the players test drive K.I.T.T. on the same obstacle that was on T.O.S. episode Junkyard Dog to get to know how to drive K.I.T.T. and use KITTs functions.

James you won't be disappointed if you are looking for original locations from the series. We also have an optional training episode you can play before you start the games first "episode". It will cover driving KITT and cover the basic controls for Michael Knight.
Cam FR, don't worry we haven't forgotten you my friend! Thing's were kinda going slow for a while but I'm currently putting in 8-10 hours a day on the project. Things are really starting to pick up pace and you will be seeing frequent updates and requests for translations from us very soon.

Re: Knight Rider: The Fan Game
An idea just struck me. Now, it would be downright hard to come up with anything...but, it was kind of a regular KR tradition. The 'new option of the week' concept. What I mean is that perhaps the game could have some new, revealed idea by Bonny that has never been seen before in the show. Granted, KITT has so many things going on to begin with that I'm sure it would be extremely challenging to come up with something useful. Still, that might be interesting.
And, I muse at how the water skimming mode could be utilized into the game. The episode perfectly set up the GTA approach of having only so many minutes & distance that the function could work with...before the sea claims KITT.

Re: Knight Rider: The Fan Game
Funny. In my planned fifth season collection of writings, I was going to have Bonnie and April team up, as well.Deveo wrote:It's 1987. Michael and KITT have been partners for 5 years now. April and Bonnie are working together for the first time ever. What new features would you like to see them give KITT?
Only, I was going to give KITT a reason to create a son, the Three Thousand. Then, after the plot resolved itself, April and RCIII would wind up teaming up with Kitt's son and create a second team that could handle seperate missions. (Or, team up on those really big missions that Michael occasionally ran into.)
And, I was thinking of this long before Team Knight Rider or KR08 came along.

Re: Knight Rider: The Fan Game
Our story is not too far off from that Jup. Except we bring in characters from the other series to make a new team. In our game they don't really serve any purpose to the main storyline at least not yet anyway.

It's exactly that, Jup. I haven't wanted to pre-empt Ken in case he's not quite ready for the game to become a focal point once again.

Well, I've been a fan of your efforts a very long time ago. Seems like you were searching for that perfect software from the days of Win 3.1 (or the Hedgehog days) and while some things seemed promissing, only time would churn out this incredible 3-D world creation tool that finally promissed to bring forth the dream.
Perhaps, I'm just not remembering how long it's truly been...

Re: Knight Rider: The Fan Game
Time for a big update! Our art has been improved a lot lately, thanks to Unity3d's fascinating updates and the hard work of our car modelers Tobie and Michael 'Mad Mike' Ahtom. The characters however were looking more and more dull and outdated compared to our other art...
Now that's a thing of the past! I decided to sit down and make the characters look properly for a game of today's generation. Thanks to a special fur shader we can finally do the Hoff's perm proper justice, and, like every game of today, we have a special skin shader that makes our characters even more lifelike! It's still a work in progress, but we're getting there. From now on you don't get souped up renders from me, but actual screenshots!
For those with older computers, these shaders and characters are very performance friendly. So you'll still be able to run the game with these characters!
Here's a complete cast image. It's pretty large, so for people with slow internet connection, like me, here's a link that opens in a new window!

Re: Knight Rider: The Fan Game
Thank you guys we ALWAYS appreciate the support! You guys remind us everyday why we are crazy enough to want to do this in the first place!
We know our game wont be for everyone. I'm sure "critics" will have a field day with it as well since its our first game and we have absolutely little to no budget and I can handle that just fine. Trolling us though? I don't have time for that lol.

This guy is busting on all your hard work yet he probably doesn't even have enough talent to tie his own shoes.
Luckily he gets out of the house at least one day a week so his mom can run down to the basement to change his bed sheets.
Keep up the great work guys! Game looks great!

When the game is released and it doesn't feel like KR, do not bother complaining about it.
BTW, I can tie up my shoes perfectly.
Speaking of which, what's your talent?
Taking a TV show and rip it to pieces by taking away things that made the TV show famous in the first place?
