Spot The References to Original Show [WARNING: Spoilers!]
I thought I'd start this thread so we can discuss the references to the original show in the new pilot. Here's what I can remember so far:
1. Garage scene - Old KITT
2. The investors saying that they'd kill Mike's mechanic and Mike in the Navada desert.
3. Mike nearly creaming his garage door with a sports car.
4. (like it or not) Mike's girls in the beginning
5. The voice modulator turning blue (maybe a reference to KR2000 here).
6. The ramp at the end of the show off the airplane (TKR & Semi reference, etc.)
7. Michael Knight showing up (of course!)
8. KITT discussing Mike's personal relationships (KITT did that a LOT in the series - always ribbing Michael about his dates with all the different women).
I'm sure there are tons others.

I think you're stretching a bit with the voice modulator, that was more to to reflect on Sarah's sadness in the scene and it looked a lot better than KR2000's awful VM.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!

9. "One man can make the difference." !
I remember it was said at the end of some episodes in the original KR (probably those at the beginning of season 1, kinda hard to remember, I'll have to check with the DVDs).

Re: Spot The References to Original Show [WARNING: Spoilers!]
Sorry Fuziedice but I had a different type of perspective on the references:
1- Original KITT in the garage. (I hate to say old KITT)
2- The head of the gang of guys states the urban legend of Wilton Knights car from 25 years ago.
3- KITT was very unemotional (Like the way it was in the old show, especially beginning)
4- Michael Knight returns and also referenced as the first driver.
5- "One man can make a difference" stated again my MK.
6- I think they used the same road when at the end desert scene from the original in the TV movie for a scene when KITT is driving either to Sarah or back.
That's all I came up with for now, I will try and add more later.

This was mentioned in one of the interviews with the producers I think, but stylistically the show was written like the original series where each segment ended on a cliffhanger before going to commercial.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but did you happen to notice Mike's clothes when we first meet him? He is wearing a red(ish) t-shirt with black jeans. Similar to what Micheal wore in the pilot. (Red turtle neck with black paints).

:smacks self on head: I forgot all about the "One man can make a difference"! Wilton Knight was mentioned by Michael Knight, too.
