One thing that always bothered me about this ad: we've seen many pictures of KITT published "backwards". In this photo-sketch, the nose on KITT's hood is on the wrong side as if the image were flilpped around, yet they still show Michael on the driver's side.

I would have been 2 at the time of its debut in Australia
I still remember it well. After all it was I who named my brother Michael after Michael Knight when my brother was born in 1983. Though my parents were not too keen on em calling my sister Bonnie or April when she was born in 85 lol. Happy Birthday KR!!!!!!!

Okay I was 7 when KITT debuted on NBC. There hasn't been a better rated TV show on NBC since! I remember getting grounded by my parents for getting into trouble and not being able to watch KITT, but I was still able to watch the Dukes. For some reason I always thought the Dukes of Hazzard was half hour sitcom till I saw it again back in 1997 when it came on TNN, before MTV bought it out and did away with the show.
Any way Happy Birthday to you KITT you've aged better than Michael has.

I was 12 when "Knight Rider" first began, but didn't watch the show until early 1983.

Hrm, that means I was 8 months old when it premiered.
But somehow in the following 4 years of my life that theme song was imprinted into my mind. Only to be awakened durring middle school times at 3am one night.

Okay from me Happy Birthday too but we Germans are late with the series. We have seen Knight of the Phönix aka Michael Knight 1&2 in 1986 when i was 2 years old and then i was the biggest Fan. Thanks for this great show
