I think I may have spotted a second KITT in a shot in "Knight Strike". Before anyone says that's not a KITT, but an ordinary Trans Am, let me say this: some of the cars used on the show for close ups of the driver still had the Trans Am gold graphics and some didnt have hubcaps. I may have spotted one of those. Take a look:

Looks very much like you're right. I don't see any T/A graphics in the photo either. I bet that was one of the screen cars parked aside for whatever shot they needed to make in that show.

It's fun to find all these little glitches. This one was a good one.

You can see an actual KITT in another episode, They actually Drive by it! Damn I can't remember the episode, its season 1 or 2.

I have seen a red trans am in one episode I need to find it again I think it was Knight In Retreat but I am not sure. It was just a normal one I bet someone has spotted it before.

Damn, I was gonna post that screenshot. There are actually quite a few episodes with Third Gen Trans Ams.

I'm loving this.

KITT MARK 2 - It's not a Camaro because Camaros have a more dove-tail back and not a spoiler like the Firebirds had. the car in the screen grab definitely has a spoiler.

Thats the one I was talking about. It doesn't have T-Tops so it was never designed to be a KITT.

You can see a blue Thirdgen Trans Am passing KITT when Michael is taking Camela home while he picks up food in "Merchants of Death". There's also a white Thirdgen Firebird in the used car lot in "A Good Knight's Work". If I get the chance, I'll upload screenshots of those too.

not really KR related, but a lot of stephen j cannel shows used black and gold 82-83 Recaro's as well

one was the chase in an A-team ep where colonal decker was introduced

and in the hardcastle and mccormick episode "hot shoes" there was one as well

lol that picture of all those KITT's reminds me of that episode of the dukes of hazzard with cale yarburough where there are 3 general lee's and they fool people into thinking that its only 1

That's odd, you'd think they would have paid special attention to removing any other vehicles that resemble KITT, to enforce his look. Alot of times it seemed like they made sure that the various getaway cars in the series were 70s vehicles, but then those cars were more in the spotlight.

When that blue T/A drives by for instance, could that have just been chance, and the owner would later see his vehicle on television and be amazed, or was everyone on camera usually paid to be there?

And when the car dealership has the white one, was that chance at a random dealership, or would they have actually put it there?

I'm guessing chance in both cases, however these could have been T/As that would later be converted to KITTs?

Ya know, I'm amazed at how you guys find these cars in the shows. I'm not that great at finding these details. I see now there were quite a few 3rd Gen T/As in Knight Rider.

Anyone see any Pontiac 6000s? I believe a friend of mine saw one in there once, but forgot what episode it was in. I think it was a tan one in a parking lot. Maybe in Goliath?

Would love to see if my car's "cousins" made any famous appearances.

I think if they wanted one for a KITT pontiac would have supplied them with a black one anyway.

Dryden means a lot to me. I fixed up the body as it was rusting, and the engine is fantastic! He's very dependable.

While growing up, my dad always treated most of his cars like members of the family. And many times they had names. Like his Honda 600 coupe he named "Rollerskate" and my Chevy S-10 (which I had before Dryden) which he named "Slushbox". So I had to name my car. I also name my computers (my current one is Megatron). Megatron has a chatbot/assistant installed so he can converse with me in a robotic voice (or any TTF voice I choose). I want to install something similar in a Car PC for Dryden.

Besides the Pontiac 6000, other GM A-Body cars include the Chevy Celebrity, Olds Cutlass Ciera, and Buick Century.

These are really great cars! I wanted a Celebrity and was looking for one when my friends found Dryden. I never knew a 6000 existed before then. These are fantastic sporty sedans!
