What was the fastest:
That was KITT really driven during filming?
That KITT was suppose to have gone in the TV series

While actually filming, I don't think they topped out 50 mph for some of the car scenes, maybe 40 or 45 at most. You get too fast and you can lose control of the car. Plus the 3rd Gen Firebirds tended to fishtail like crazy on some turns. So you had to compensate by not going too fast, I'd imagine.

The fastest speed the car probably reached during filming was most likely the desert scene during the intro and credits. No traffic, no turns...speed definitely breached 50mph.
Then there's KITT running on a ramjet also in the desert after their unpleasant encounter with Goliath.

I have to watch Goliath again, but I think the ramjet scene KITT states that at his present rate of 310 mph, the odds of survivial are,..wait..my odds calculator just malfunctioned!!!

Thiis is something I would like the answer to myself.During spm scenes what was th highest it ever went up?I know if the episode Topaz Connection kitt out drove a jets speed to Las Vegas,If he was in super pursuit mode how much faster would he have gotten there?Would he have enough time to have Michael see a Wayne Newton show?

^^ I believe that the fastest KITT was ever shown to be going while in SPM was 300 MPH, near the end of "Burial Ground", as you can see here:
