Nothing will convert from Google Sketchup. And it's rather rudementary, really. I tried the program and deleted it. Wasn't worth the time to play with as it didn't do very nice work. Blender (blender.org) does much better!

That Dash is looking much better :-P Not sure if a picture of a gulwing stuck to a block would work as a steering wheel in real life though :)

Nice pics. I remember when I first started out with my first 3D KITT. Wasn't brilliant but very rudimentary:

Keep working at it and you'll get some excellent results.

That was made in 3ds max 7. Got the prog off a mate.

This was KITT MKII

There's another thread floating about somewhere where someone else has made an awesome, realistic rendering of KITT.

EDIT: Click here for renderings created by wannabegeorge.

Whatever program you use, learn to use it properly. Work through as many of the tutorials as possible. Google for tutorials that you need. I hade to look for tutorials on making tyres/wheels and car paint, as well as tutorials on making cars.

Also, if you have DVDs of Knight Rider, use those to try and make your creations as accurate as possible. It'll make it more worthwhile.

This was my 'improved' version of KITT's dash:Image

I made it the way I preferred it. But I still tried to use screenshots to help me judge the size of things like buttons and LEDs. It helps make it that more realistic.

Most of all, have fun. This stuff shouldn't be stressing you out!
