April's KITT Add-ons.

In the Second Season of Knight Rider, April made lots of different add-ons for KITT things like the Chemical Analyser, High Traction Drop Downs(HTDD), Hydroplaining and others.
But I noticed throughout season 3 and 4 none of her original parts were kept.
April's chemical analyser was replaced by Bonnie's chemical analyser.
April's High Traction Drop Downs were replaced by Traction Spikes
April threw out the idea of Hydroplaining which was stupid.

Any others you can think of.

I loved the hydroplaining. Return to Cadiz is my favorite ep.

I loved that ep purely for April's appearance at the end. :P

True but didn't S3 start with KOTD whereby KITT had to be rebuilt with a new dash? Presumably if Bonnie had to rebuild, she would make it her own.

Maybe they took it all out becuase April might've been an afterthought.

Am I the only one that hated hydroplaining??

I preferred Hydroplaining to SPM!!!!

I HATE SPM!!!

that's my BIGGEST bugbear of the entire series, how could the take a sleek car like KITT and.......well.......make him look TOTALLY CRAP!!!

I hated SPM from the first moment I saw it. Hate it almost as much as convertible mode.

Agree with Peter - it made KITT look crap!

I hated SPM mode too. If it isn't broke don't fix it. The show was just fine and they thought they had to add RC3 and SPM mode. It really didn't make him go much faster. He had to go quite fast in The Topaz Connection to go from CA to Vegas before the jet got there.

They also kept the Trajectory Guide, which April installed in "Big Iron" (it was used in "Redemption of a Champion").

I don't get it....I never said I liked SPM. In fact I don't like it at all. I kinda thought it was useless.

I think he meant he liked the hydro better than SPM...that's how it got started.

Oh....but I don't ever recall saying that SPM was a much better feature of KITT.

When I was little, I thought SPM was the coolest thing ever, but I was into transforming things at the time.

Now, while I don't hate it with quite the vehemence some of you seem to, I can see why it bugs you.
I always thought that it was mighty convenient that they never NEEDED SPM until they had it.

I didn't like April's chemical analyser much I liked the one bonnie made because it came out of the dash.
They should have kept hydroplaining for emergency's (a.k.a JYD).

well it was a liquid substance I would think he might have had a chance i don't know why he didn't use the grappling hook and pulled himself off it at least he got a fresh start with new parts.

It was hard for him to use any of his functions. Please tell me you do know how powerful acids are. As soon as this one got on kitt...his circuts and stuff started melting and going haywire.

So yeah...there was no way kitt could use the grappling hook in time.

Yeah I know he couldn't have but he could have used a function when he was up on the machine. His circuits seamed ok since he was talking fine until he went down under the acid.
