Hmm...well I wouldn't send my first set back anyway...hehe. I think I will keep the ones I have...it doesn't bother me much anyway.

I never sent an email initially, but I left them a VM that probably got lost in the shuffle.

I sent an email to the addy that someone posted in the other thread, so hopefully I'm not screwed :)

I wonder what is happening about ones yet to be sold?

I got my money back from amazon who were very good to me.
I wonder if I ordered now if i would still get the faulty set?

maybe best to wait a month or 2!

Looks like I'm gonna have to take a chance on the region 2 set on being corrected because I bought the region 1 as an import on a website so obviously that rules me out on sending mine back.

at this moment im watching the region 2 version of season 3 "knight of the drones"(bought of play.com) is there meant to be sound in the night club scene=1h05mins 34 seconds all i seem to hear is thumping sounds.

it seems they`ve messed up the uk versions as well and have a nice little disclamiour on the back"music may differ from the televised version".
Maybe they should just delete all the music it will be easy-oh and the subject of season 4 is the kim wilde video still in knight racer or has that been cut.

ps the ice bandits has missing sound at 29.14(region2 )

Definitely sounds like the same mistakes present in the R1 version.

The music has been completely removed and all that the dancers are dancing to is the click track before the camera pans down to the basement. Lots of other effects missing all the way through.

Universal really are useless for releasing a product which they know is faulty.

wonder how much it will cost them to replace the faulty english versions this time round, bet they wont even bother .
Thank you universal thank you very much

I dont have mine either, but I'm going to send anyway. If they say something, I'm going to raise a stink about it - none of the other exchanges I've had to do (like He-Man volume one with the bad box that scratched the discs) required a reciept 5 months after the transaction.

Hell, the He-Man guys didnt even require the original discs back! They just sent me out a new set with a big thank you for understanding note.

If that doesnt work, I'll simply include any old reciept from around here. Something from the comic store should do nicely.

I didn't get an address are email to send the info to them. i can give you the email address that was on the email i got. that is: USHE.ConsumerRelations@worldmark.inc. i suppose you could go to the universal site to see if they have a phone # or email to contact them. that is the only email i can provide you with. they did not send me and email address or a phone #.

I'm keeping the DVD set I have, since I don't have any trouble with the missing sound effects.
The corrected discs may have more problems---and they may be too obvious!

I sent them my info so I will send my S3 back. I am hoping it turns out ok and that I don't end up having to buy another S3 Set. :( I hope they fixed the problems and not added more too.

Also, wonder what they'll do about the missing eposide/play/episode description menus in the S4 DVD sets?

Right now, I am working my way through the entire series of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century which I just bought so I'll be busy with that for awhile. By the time I'm finished, hopefully the S3 KR set will arrive and I can watch it again. :)

Unfortunately, I don't have my receipt either. Probably because I bought my DVD set MONTHS ago without ever realizing they screwed it up! I guess we have to buy Universal's DVDs with caution. Anyway, I'll attempt to send it back despite not having the receipt. Giving them the actual DVD set should be proof enough of purchase! And besides, what do they care? They know someone bought the set in the first place to have it be sent back.

And another question I have: If they used the "best available master," why are they able to now correct the DVDs as they should have been? If they can do it now, they could have done it then. Who cares about keeping a momentum with the release dates?!

The Prince songs are in fact cut from Region 1, so that is no mistake, however missing sound effects is what the problem has been about...

Prince songs are the only ones that were cut from Season 2/3, so Season 4 songs like Kim Wilde are intact...

Universal has handled this so poorly, the email they've sent is in poor form and doesn't even describe what steps we are to take next, I replied to the email with a nasty gram and then with one with my address and phone number and they didn't get rejected, so who knows, maybe I will get this supposed return envelope in the mail? We'll see...

Money is the only thing that matters to these companies, and they trample all over people's memories in their quest for the big green, just like video game companies do when they re-release classic arcade games...

FOR THOSE OF US WHO WAITING ON BUYING SEASON 3, how can we tell if the version we go out to buy is the corrected version? Have they given any indication of this?

None, it seems that it will be quite awhile before anybody even receives replacements in the mail, but I would watch for something like a V2 on the back of the box as they did with Back to the Future Widescreen edition...

So it's been a few days. Has anyone received their return envelope?

Nothing yet here.

And I sent them my info the day I got the email (which seems to be the day others reported here getting the email).

Though it's quite a ways from California to NY State so it might take awhile...
