New KILLER KITT question...

When KITT turns evil in the beginning, I've always found the dialogue strange when Michael asks KITT after getting shot at, "How'd you know those 2 were coming anyway?" Michael said he was just wondering out loud and wasn't accusing KITT, but it seems like a strange thing to ask after that scenario. Did I miss something?

It's funny, I was showing a friend some episodes that he had never seen and just before we watched Killer KITT, he thought Michael was a bit demanding on several occasions, and so he thought it was cool that KITT was sort of getting revenge...

David Hasselhoff actually said the line wrong. According to the script (courtesy of http://www.knightriderarchive.com), that scene was supposed to be read like this:

MICHAEL
Thanks, buddy, you saved my hide. How
did those two know we were coming?

K.I.T.T.
Does that mean you suspect me?

MICHAEL
(reacts, gives
him look)
No, I was just wondering out loud.
You know, you're starting to get
paranoid, pal.

Notice it says how did "those two" know we were coming, not "how'd you"...it changes the whole meaning!

Thanks Joe, I knew something was up with that! Funny that they didn't catch that, because it's right when Michael and KITT really get into it...

Are there any other times that you noticed the cast messing up their lines?

Yeah, there was one time when Devon told Michael he could investigate Hirana the Voo Doo Princess. Edward Mulhare was supposed to not let him investigate and that would be the end of the episode, but nooooo...... :)

LOL, yeah, what a let down to the series, the network was insane to not let it be the Scent of Roses, it would have been soo perfect...

I think scent of roses was supposed to be the last ep but someone got something mixed up. I think seasons 2 and 3 were best. To me season 4 was a let down. That's just me though. If i had to pick i would say season 3 was best...of course Universal had to mess up the sound effects...ugg.

To me, S4 always seemed more fresh and exciting even though there were less stunts and less good stories, but I agree S2/3 had it goin' on...

S1 had so many slow points and slow stories, but it's great to go back and see how much different the series was in the beginning, for example before the black semi and when they contacted Devon on the telephone...
