Michael, 4 years old at beginning of Season 4??

At the end of Many Happy Returns, the crew states that they have been together for 4 years and that Michael is now 4 years old, due to his "rebirth"... Well that just does not compute, could the writers really not count?
As far as I can tell, he would not be 4 until the beginning of Season 5, had there been one, or maybe it was wishful thinking?

You're assuming that exactly one year passes in the Knight Rider Universe with each season of the show. It would probably be way too hard to figure out exactly how much time passes between each episode or between each season. So, no, the writers weren't necessarily incorrect, it just depends on how you mark time in the Knight Rider universe.

Ah, didn't think of it that way, probably because there are several times when they refer to events that happened in real time, such as destroying KARR 2 years ago, and that was right on...

Timeline's were off. They changed the time a couple of times when they stated when Michael Long was shot.
The show has never had strength in this area.
