Was that The Hoff doing the singing?

So I was watching the other night the episode where the guy with the rare orchids is running around poisoning people - and the guy singing the Billy Idol cover sounded a whole lot like The Hoff (or at least what little I've heard of his music, it sounded like him). Anyone know if my ears are playing tricks on me or not?
