knight rider online

Hello,

I just began watching the first DVD of Season One and the episode "Deadly Maneuvers" skips a lot on my DVD player. I tried it in my PC DVD drive and the same thing happened.

Am I the only one with this problem? Maybe my DVD is defective?

yeah there can be problems like that with these knight rider dvd's you could try taking it back for another one but you may be better off just leaving it as it is.

if you have just got the dvd then take it back, I had a problem with a season 2 with "goliath"

I used some Brasso metal cleaner, just gently rub it on and then wipe it off with something soft.

You can't get it all of close examination of the disc you can see it looks marked with the stuff still, but it worked after I did it no problems at all.

My Goliath episode locks up 2/3rds of the way through too. I'll
just deal with it. Haven't run into anything else as of yet.

DVD's are quite sensitive to scratches...you just have to avoid touching the read side of the disc. Then again the disc can be defective straight from the printing factory.

Sounds like you just got a bad disk. That happened to me *twice* in season 2. The first set I got, the disk with "Ring of Fire" was bad. About 10 minutes of the episode was unwatchable, would just give a disk read error in every DVD player I tried it in. Exchanged it...that disk on the next set was fine, but the disk with "Mouth of the Snake" was bad, and 20 minutes of that episode was unwatchable. I finally got a third set and swapped the last disk out so I could get 3 good disks. I think they just had some manufacturing problems with season 2. I never had any problems with season 1, and I haven't had any problems with season 3 yet (knock on wood).
