Whilst browsing, I discovered this site: http://www.knight-ind.com/ about a company called Knight Industries and having the logo being a chess-piece. It claimed to have been set up in 1984. Is this a real company?

I knew it! I always did! Kitt's for real!

The site looks a bit too well done to be just a hoax. I wish it isn't! :D

Well, it seems to indeed be real. It is Knight Industries and Associates, Inc., though, not just Knight Industries. Maybe it's the reason the name and logo was changed to The Knight Foundation and a yin-yang format in Knight Rider 2000. :)

From their site's About page:

"Knight Industries began in 1984 as a specialty design/build shop, solving specific manufacturing problems for the automotive industry in Detroit"

Nice pics. It's also kind of funny how the nearby cars are on a platform looking like they're backing out of the semi. :)

Now the Knight Trucks I've seen before. But knight Industries is pretty impressive.

When my mom was in college, she worked for a newspaper company (that still exists) called "Knight Ridder"

That's pretty cool. I too have heard of Knight Transportation...but I'm sure some you would be familiar with another trucking company..............Trans Am. Back in the day I used to think that was the trucks that hauled Trans Ams from factories.lol
