The Wednesday edition of The New York Times, (yes, THE New York Times) has a half-page feature about people who build Hollywood car replicas. They talk about the General Lee and the Batmobile, but a good junk of the article seems to be focused on Knight Rider. They have color photos of Scott Rice and Don Colie (from Knight Registries) with KITTs.

I don't want to deeplink the file, but you can go to http://www.knightregistries.com and download a pdf of the article with photos.

Man, we can never seem to escape that butt-ugly General Lee any time K.I.T.T.'s featured. Still, a very cool article. Nice find! But I can't believe how a newspaper like The New York Times can make grammar mistakes!

That was very ineresting! Superb find.

I do wonder though, how difficult it must be to make a Batmobile Replica?

We all know, KITT is a Trans Am....
The General Lee is a Dodge Charger....

But the Batmobile was a Futura Concept Car, so there are not any project cars to begin with I presume? Hmm, just a thought

Ozza :)
