Hi guys! I'am planning to build my own Knight Rider Replica! Just wanted to know what year model the Pontiac was in season 4!

all KITT's were 1982-1984 pontiac trans am's

Yes, but somebody told me that the Pontiac used in season 1 was one from 1982, and from season 2 1983 etc. So I guess that for the fourth season they used a later model. Or what do you guy's say? I mean if I want to build my own replica I need to have the car from season 4 because I want the frontnose from season 4. The shape might vary if you put the front nose to an older model, don't you think?

NOPE!!!!!....its all the same!...the interior was the same as well until 88' and the only major difference I could see was the shifter that they used in some night shots with the super pursuit mode car that had a "T" shifter!
,but hell my car is a 91' with all older stock stuff!

Season 4 used 84-85. These cars had the split back rear seats.
Mostly 84's from what I have heard in the past.

I tought I was going mad because I was so sure that KITT had a T-shifter when I watched Knight Rider as a kid.

It says in almost all fan sites that KITT only had the round knob thing. I was very confused about that but this explains the images I had in my head. As a kid I thought the T-shifter was so cool

I don't have many 4 season episodes so that's why I haven't come across it yet. Thanks for the info.
