I guess that all U.S. talk shows have turned their backs on DH, thanks to Regis Philbin's influence, so I'm glad Mr. Philbin doesn't have influence in Australia.
Oh, well, hopefully DH will have a good time where he's welcome on talk shows..... :? :)   :? :? :? :? 8)

Hmm? Not sure what that's about?

I'm not sure what's that about, but maybe it's thanks to David Letterman, who didn't allow DH on his show, probably.
I was talking about the talk shows abroad, since no TV talk show will even give DH the time of day here in the U.S. anymore, which is a shame.....

Now I'm very lost... first Regis, now Letterman? Where is this information coming from because I don't remember hearing about any animosity towards Hasselhoff. (I'm not saying there isn't any, I'd just like to confirm the source. Entertainment Weekly? Maybe. National Enquirer? No way.)

I would have to say that the number one reason why Hasselhoff doesn't appear on American talk shows is because he's not doing American projects. He was all over the place when the Spongebob movie was out last year, and he only had a small cameo. If he had a new movie, or TV series, or CD coming out in the states, then I'm sure we'd see him doing the talk-show circuit.

Sorry, I don't mean to be difficult... but if Hollywood really is dissing the Hoff, I want to know who's doing what and why!

I personally chalk it all up to Regis Philbin getting a swelled head, and the same old guest show up on talk shows, which is boring.
Just because DH isn't currently on U.S. TV doesn't mean he shouldn't be a US talk show guest at all.
OK, I'm being cynical here, but I miss DH being on US talk shows, and I wish him well with his appearance on an Australian talk show, though.....
Pardon me for venting, too.

I may be going on a bad direction here but the reason why he isnt on any talk shows or any award shows like grammy's tony's or anything is because he hasn't done anything recently. No new shows, movies or anything at all in the U.S..He might be in the category of washed up actors in people's view of great celebrities.I hope doing the new movie with Adam Sandler changes that for him.

Yeah, sure, Knight Racer, like that'll happen...
I think the whole talk show circuit in the U.S. now consists of reality stars and wannabe singers and actors who don't amount to much at all, and oh, yes, they're stuck in P.Hilton neutral, too, as if she's a singer, which sickens me so damn much I could puke!
Sorry about my absolute cynicism, but I honestly miss DH on Tv talk shows, and the dreck on U.S. talk shows really stinks!

I'm sorry, but the last name Rove just creeps me out.
I'm not referring to the Australian talk show host with that last name, though.....

First, Michael Pajaro asked, now me: What are you talking about?! What happened with Regis Philbin that concerns David Hasselhoff? Did he not allow him on his show or something?

And I agree that the reason David hasn't been on many American talk shows lately is that he hasn't been concentrating on American projects (up until this Knight Rider movie). Once this film comes out, trust me, you'll be seeing him on Leno talking about it. And after all, he is more of a genuine superstar in other countries, but unfortunately not in America, where we live in a "style over substance" culture.

I don't think our pop culture has any style anymore; just flash and trash, and I wish DH was a superstar in the US., but that's not to be.
U.S. showbiz is totally boring!!!!!!!!!!!

"Rove" is actually his first name, His last Name is McManus

Sorry, my mistake....
I wonder if Mr. McManus has a real first name he uses when he doesn't do his Australian talk show
out of my curiosity. Just asking...

I guess you're right about John being an average name, so I'm glad Rove is his nckname, not his last name.
I'm curious: Does Rove McManus have an Australian English accent? Just wondering....
