Dumb widget question

Has anyone done, or know of a widget for Konfabulator that simulates KITT's voice display? I think something like that would be awesome singing in tune with my music in the corner of my desktop.
Got the idea by stumbling upon a HAL 9000 widget today.

I had thought about this when I made the KRO board widgets awhile back. But now that Konfabulator is free, it might be fun to revisit it. I'll see what I can do, it's shouldn't be hard at all.

This would be awsome, how about a red scanner for setting the volume!? Somebody, make this happen!

I recall a flashing scanner widget type thing. It was posted here years back from a member overseas, I believe. It didn't work with Knofabulator, and was a stand-alone program. You could set the size and speed of the flash and it just hung out in the background of your desktop. It was designed for Windows.
That would be great, Neil, if you could make something like that.
Also another dumb widget question. Are Konfabulator widgets compatible with Mac dashboard from Tiger and vice versa or do they use their own?

Yea, Army; I remember that too. I think he was from Japan.
I once made a widget for it that was just kitt going back and forth around the screen. not terribly exciting.
Konfabulator and Dashboard widgets are not interchangeable. They run on the same ideas (xml and java) but work differently.
For a History lesson. Konfabulator is like mini encapsulated webpages that run and receive information on your computer, things called Widgets. It came out a number of years ago originally for the Macintosh and cost like 30 dollars. And all was good.
Then Apple showed off their latest OS, which included something called Dashboard, which was scarily similar to Konfabulator. Both ran widgets. With Apple (some would say stole the idea) giving it out for free in the OS, Konfabulator went ahead and made a Windows version.
Recently, Konfabulator was purchased by Yahoo, and is now free. So It's better than Apple's Dashboard in a way that it allows you as a Widget designer to reach both Mac and PC users, where Apple's Dashboard is
limited to Mac only.
Some widgets that I made a few years ago that may or may not still work:
