When did KARR suddenly have the gray section on the bottom of the KARR? As KITT put it, "Michael, that car! It could have been my twin! It was exactly like me!"

"Not exactly, buddy. It almost killed me!"

In a edited scene KARR tells John he wants to change his appearence, KARR gets the grey paint job after he crashes through the semi.

It really made no sense that we see KARR after two years and he has gray on the bottom 1/3 of his body. I'm guessing that gray paint was treated with the molecular bonded shell formula...

Nope, the gray paint was sprayed over the molecular bonded shell. KARR was not routinely serviced by any FLAG technician and did not receive any MBS reinforcement. If you look closely at one of the pics above of KARR, paint chips can already be seen on the gray part of the front bumper. Although KARR's body has MBS, it does not protect the gray paint since it was applied over it.

Is it just me, or does KARR have 6 fog lights in some photos & 4 in others?

It's just empty space where the extra fog lights would normally be. From some angles you can see something else through the nose, possibly the socket that held the light in place?

There are some good pictures here:

http://kdrider.euweb.cz/knightrider.htm

I don't know if they're high-quality or not, but I think they would look good as wallpapers.

I've been seeing alot of questions abouts pop up about KARR's paint, so I thought I'd revive this post, for those of you looking for some KARR pictures.

These are really great.

That explains why when KARR gets destroyed you see a black nose cone rather than black/silver ones, the paint has come off the bonded shell.

Oh and by the way...thats supposed to be KARR's dash. Thats when John first looks at the dash then reconects KARR's voice modulator.

WHOA THAT TAPED ONE IS DODGY!! How can you even see what it is. By the way thats the dash from Knightmares, which is actually KITT's dash.

I love the comparison pics it shows how far we have come with technology.

I thought KARRs Voice box looked like that?
in the above photos it looks like a yellow version of KITTs early red flash voice box

In the above photos it is KITT's second season one. Its just recycled footage. You can see the bar led's if you look closely.

KARR had a terrible identity crisis, when it came to the voice modulator. True. He did have the three bar version, first. (And, it's highly probable that Bonnie stole the idea for one of KITT's upgrades in a later season episode.) But, there were shots like in the above photo where the bars were red. And, then there is my favorite goof, the ultra rare viewpoint of the real car's dash responding to the voice as the words are spoken...and it's reflecting off the seats in RED. Probably still using the single flasher RED light in that scene, to boot.

As for the paint job...I was under the impression for the longest time that the editing for more commercial time removed a whole scene where we SEE KARR BEING SPRAY PAINTED. Thanks to the DVD, I finally understand why the fact was lost for so long...it's just a line. A single line amidst a whole scene that was of otherwise little value. No wonder the editors took it out. Editing in just that one line would make so little sense and ruin the rhythm. And, it could so easly be overlooked, if the editor wasn't paying attention. Still...after years of thinking there was this lost scene, I was highly disappointed that the whole "lost painting bit" was a mere line of dialog.
