I just watched Knight Rider 2000 and i noticed something i find somewhat disturbing. IF you watch in the closing scene when KITT pulls out of the spot and proceeds to peel out and spin around. His FRONT wheels are spinning! THEY DID TO KITT WHAT GM DID TO ALMOST EVERY DECENT CAR THEY MADE! CONVERTED IT TO FWD!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH. Its like what the did to the Monte Carlo, Impala, Cutlass. im ashamed..

Well, with the (fictional) technology in KR2K, I guess KIFT is supposed to be FWD.

Well in the movie the Knight 4000 was based on a Dodge (Chrysler) Stealth. Although, FWD cars are kinda crappy, It did look cool. (For that shape of car)

FWD are good actually! Dryden is a FWD and I never ONCE got stuck in snow. I had a Chevy S-10 pickup with RWD and I always needed a push to get out of parking spaces that get a lot of snow. Go figure.

I agree. The FWD of my Honda comes in handy. Your right about snow and rain. They just aren't cool in sports cars, imo.

FWD is nice, but not in the winter,

RWD is more funny then

ARC 3 and ARC 4 are FWD. It helps out so much in the winter. And I live in the snowbelt region. Brrr!!

yeah i found out that it was a dodge stealth. I recognized the shifter as one that my friend has in his Eagle Talon TSI. And i wondered why they used a dodge in a movie that was all Chevy Berettas and Eurovans.

I have far less trouble in the winter with a FWD than I ever did in a RWD. And we get so much snow that the roads are all snow and ice. Everyone else spins, swerves, gets stuck. Dryden just goes right through it like it's nothing.

i think it also depends on the weight of the vehicle. my 2000 grand am coupe went like crap in the snow. it was as bad a rear-wheel, but now my 2004 grand am sedan goes great.
one the funniest things i've seen in a while was an Aveo trying to get up a hill near my house. it just wouldn't go anywhere, just kept spinning and the guy behind the wheel was too determined. i was ready to get of my car just tell him to give up and push it the rest of the way

My old '86 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was a rear-wheel drive and absolutely sucked in the snow. (I donated the thing after it pretty much died and they couldn't even give me any money for it

.) The fact that the tread on the tires was worn from the car riding too long without an alignment probably didn't help the situation though! Now I drive a white '89 Grand Am SE edition with blue & grey interior and white hub caps. It was my uncle's secondary car that he preserved nicely. Just three tiny dots of rust on the entire car (and a developing bubble under the paint in the lower left corner of one of the doors).
It has a cool little digital display box in the dashboard with a small diagram of the car that looks just like something K.I.T.T. would have. Here in New York, we've only really had one major snow storm this winter so far but the car seemed to slip and slide a lot. Sometimes it pisses me off how some baby boomers in their SUVs think they're invincible on the road when it snows.

I could drive my firebird if i wanted too, but i decided it was a good idea to let it rest for the winter and start ordering all my new parts and stuff.
