knight rider online

Inspired by reading a few of the Knight Rider fanfics online over the last few months, I've been working off and on with one of my own. It's based on scribbled notes (that no longer exist) of a dream about the show I had in high school when it was still on the air. I've got about the first two chapters done so far. It's taken me months just to get those two written! I've been hammering it out in rough scene-by-scene descriptions followed by a script like version, then I change it slowly into the final novel like version (it's just the way my mind works I guess). I don't have an ending yet and my first chapter is waaaay too short for my liking (a paragraph or so). At the rate I'm currently working on it I'll have it done in about a year or maybe a little longer! Hey, I NEVER said I was fast! Sorry knightimmortal! [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

Here's a little snippet from Chapter 2. It's still a bit on the crude side.

'Really Micheal. I don't see your facination with those things! You're hardly a child.'

'Ease up K.I.T.T.. I got hooked on these back in 'Nam. It let us find a way to escape the war without really going anywhere by using our imagination.'

'You could do the same thing with a good book. And it'd be much longer.'

'K.I.T.T. you're begining to sound like my mother again!'

'I'll take that as a complement!'

Revealed a little later in the scene, it's a comic book. You get a slight hint with K.I.T.T.'s earlier line "You're hardly a child."

Looking back on it, I can see where you got your idea from. It is a little too ambiguous. For now I'll leave it alone and fix it in a later draft.

Actually, that sounds just like KITT when he is being snippy. I love it! Keep it on going, good fic takes time, unless you are a fic factory like me. [img]images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]
