Awww man, this means I'm going to have to figure out how record with our new VCR/DVD player. Or be exhausted at work the following day....and chasing after 3 - 5 year olds, I need to be up and running, lol.

Maybe Knight Rider could find a new home on TV Land.

Its the American station we're talking about. But don't worry, I'm sure someone (michael pajaro) will have a clip for all to see.

And its on in a half hour my time. I see it on my program guide and on tv lands website that it is the 20th, not the 21st.

Correct me if I am wrong, but as I understand it:

Tonight at 10:00, (The 20th) TV Land's Top 10 Cars is on.

At Midnight, technically the 21st, KITT vs KARR is supposed to be on.

Am I correct? :)

Yes, you are correct. :) It's starting right now, and the intro has a clip of the Pilot. Format looks to be a mix of clips, still frames and assorted level stars talking about how cool each car is.

And now they are interviewing George Barris... and you can see Nick and Jessica's KITT on the lot... claiming KITT and BTTF again it seems...

well KITT has received votes from all over the world so here's me sitting here in Belfast crossing my fingers... keep us informed guys'n'gals!!

does this show have an audience or is it more like an automated countdown with a voiceover? like the UK's Top One Hundred Movies etc that C4 roll out every Christmas? lol!

Posted: Wed Oct 20, 2004 10:21 pm
by neps
There isn't a studio audience... just interviews with people who are quasi famous, and a little voice over in the beginning...

The countdown:

10. Rockford Files' Firebird
9. Green Hornets' Black Beauty
8. Starsky & Hutch's Gran Torino
7. Beverly Hillbillies' Jalopy
6. Magnum's and Crockets Ferrari's
5. Flintstones' Flintmobile
4. The Munsters' Koach
3. Knight Rider's KITT
2. Dukes of Hazzard's General Lee
1. Batman's Batmobile

Pretty favorable things said about KITT. Xzibit (rapper, pimp my ride), Sinbad, Jerry O'Connell, and a couple of others interviewed.. Lewis Black, a commedian made a joke basically saying he would have loved it if the car talking was all in Michael's head.

aw no way!! that orange thing beats KITT? a car with roll cages, stunt doors and that bloomin' flag on its roof beats our beloved supercar?! is there no justice in the world...????

TV Land Results

Just watched TV Land's top 10 cars.

Okay, my bet was that the General Lee would win, and KITT would come in 2nd. BUt they both lost to the Batmobile!! What is that?! Here's the lineup:

10) The Rockford Files Firebird
9) Green Hornet Black Beauty
8 ) Starsky and Hutch Gran Torino
7) Beverly Hillbillies Jalopy (that car had nothing to do with the show)
6) Magum P.I./Miami Vice Ferraris
5) The Flintstones Flintmobile
4) The Munsters Koach
3) Knight Rider K.I.T.T.
2) The Dukes of Hazzard General Lee
1) Batman Batmobile

(Crap, sorry abotu that neps, didn't see you posted that.)

Aw well, KITT coulda schooled anything on that list.

I noticed a while ago that, during some tv land awards they had a clip from david vs goliath. It would really be a good station to air knight rider on.

I'm not so sure they listed the actual votes cast by users. Some of the phrases they used made it sound like there were two different lists. For example, at one point they said something like "What was your number TV car? The Batmobile! Stay tuned to see how it compares to our list." Once the tvland.com site updates their site we'll see if the voter list is the same as the one they aired.

EDIT: OK, so this is what they said:

"The results are in. Our online viewer polls shows that YOUR favorite TV car is the Batmobile. Stay tuned to see what car tops OUR list."

It's two different lists, with some deceptive advertising and promotions.
