If you have ever seen Boy Meets World? If you have, then if you close your eyes and listen to Mr. Feeny you will realize that he is the voice of KITT. William Daniels played on Boy Meets World it's entire run. At the current moment, I am unsure what he is doing, maybe another board member can share that.
Hope that helps a little bit. It took me a month or two to realize where i heard Mr. Feeny's voice before. LOL

Didn't he become a head spokesman or chairman for the NRA or something like that?

NRA?! I think you're thinking of "SAG"... He was the president of the Screen Actors Guild.

Oy. And I now have visions of Moses standing up through Kitt's T-tops, riding through the parted sea (it was Charton Heston who was the head of the NRA).

It took me quite a while myself. Now, sometimes when I watch Knight Rider, I try to imagine Mr. Feeny saying what Kitt is saying. Also, when I watch Boy Meets World, I try to imagine Kitt saying what Mr. Feeny is saying.
It gets quite fun. I laugh myself silly sometimes

WoW, Looks like you don't need to watch either show. You can just imagine what one is saying to the other and there you have it, Boy Meets K.I.T.T.

Well Boy Meets world ran from 1993 till 2000, so he wasn't exactly doing nothing. And he was elected to SAG president in 1999, which is a three year term (2002), so he may have been exhausted.

Keep in mind the man is around 70 years old, most people retire way sooner than that, he probably decided to get away from work and enjoy a low profile for awhile.

Yeah, he pretty much constantly had work for 15 years at least
And the other knight(

), my sister was watching an old Touched By an Angel rerun and i was eating dinner in front of the TV and it's going through the guest stars:
"Special Guest Star: William Daniels" I was like, WHOA! So, of course, I watched the whole episode. His chara's story was actually quite sad, but when he first came in he had the same, smart-aleck, almost awnry personality of KITT, it was cool.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and his wife in the episode was his wife from St. Elseware, according to my mom.

Oh yeah... TV shows do usually run for more than one year. Although, I had no idea BMW ran for that long.
