My partner and I are expecting our firstborn in October, we went for the scan today, and we found out we're having a boy :D Now, the thing is, being a H-U-G-E KR fan, I'd love the baby to have a cool name, with some kind of Knightrider link. Can you guys help me come up with something? So far, I love Kitt, I think thats gonna be a great name, but can you come up with any more? (I've obviously thought of the "Michael", "david" and "devon") Pleeeease help!!!!

First of all, Congratulations on your first born baby!!! You guys must be thrilled!!!

I wouldn't personally name my kid after any tv or movie character but to each their own so here are my picks:

Garthe
Adrian
Reginald or Reg for short
Stephanie

I can't really say I'd choose Goliath or KARR...at least I can't think of a way to sensibly modify those names a bit to suit a person.

But those are the ones I can only think of right now, I'm sure more will come to mind.

Congradulations on your baby! Best of luck with the rest of the pregnancy!

Wow, what a neat thing to name your child after. This may be bit of asking to much information, but what is your last name? It's cool if you don't want to disclose that, I totally understand, but that usually helps to see how names will sound together.

Michael would be good, although it may be too generic. Reginald is more unique, but harder to connect to the KR universe as it only identifies with a secondary character of one season. I do like the name Devon quite a bit...

I don't know... I think I would avoid "KITT". It's such a specific name (when spelled with two T's) that it invites people to wonder where it came from, and I could see a kid being embarrassed on the playground explaining that he was named after a talking car. You have to prepare yourself for the possibility (liklihood) that your children won't have the same interests you do.

You can use more generic names and still pay tribute to Knight Rider. But don't limit yourself to fictional characters - you can name your child after a real person with real accomplishments. Glen (Larson) is a great name. Or William (Daniels).

Well congrats! But "Adrian" is spelled "Adrianne" and is a girl's name AND the name of a VERY bad character in Knight Rider LOL sorry I just had to say that :P Kitt sounds good to me, but I named my truck LUV (large, ugly vehicle) so shows you how much name sense I have.

Yeah, well, Adrian/Adrianne can be spelt two ways. It's spelt the former in the Rocky movies, rocky's wife is spelt 'Adrian'. I just miscorrected the spelling from the KR universe.

One thing i wanted to ask u , are u gona save this page or html and save it so years later ull look back at this thread and say "aawww, yes i remeber these ppl, they helped me choose names for my son. the memories !

thanks dragonball. :) 21 is usually quite young, and I never imagined that I'd be starting my family so soon, but my partner Kieran and I have been together quite a while now, and I've known him for years, and we've been living together since October. So, I know that there's no-one i'd rather have my children with. And, i dont think there'll be a better time. :)

In my opinion, nice guys do tend to finish last, but they finish better than all the rest. My kieran is one of those really nice, sweet and shy guys, and we got together years after we met and became friends. And, to be honest, after I'd finished with being messed about by not so nice guys, I suddenly saw that really nice guy in a whole different way. :) dont worry, dragonball, everything will be great! :)

and thanks for that idea about saving this thread!! i hadnt thought of it, but thats exactly what I'm going to do :)

:P

keep the names coming in!!!!

Kitt is a name, I've heard it before, but usually for a girl. short for catherine or something. So maybe he shouldn't have that.

Maybe (April) Curtis...I've heard that before too...

Well, congrats!

How cool. I felt so cool after hearing April Curtis was Kitt's mechanic! Even if for that time. I was like.

"How kewl! A fellow April is fixing Kitt!" I would always tease my mom with that.

By the way My names April Marie(Can't say mah last name tho  )

I like that name April. Sounds like a name for a smart person. Probably thats why universal gave Rebbeca Holden that name.
