How many Miles?

Could any one guess how many miles were on kitt? I'm assuming it would be a lot considering he was on the road all the time.

yeah, very hard to guess. over 2 mill, probably. maybe more than that.

they still wouldn't have trouble selling it though, considering what it can do.

Michael and KITT seemed to be on the road an awful lot of time. sometimes when Michael wasn´t on a specific Foundation mission, he was kind of patrolling the streets of LA or somewhere nearby. or when he had chances for some much-needed R&R
, he drove to his numerous dates, cruised around the country or whatever...

do you think Michael showed KITT´s capabilities for
those people his was associated with in his free time?

He did drive Kitt to New York and Chicago, just to name two.

Every episode, let's just say it has... 50 miles...
50x90 because of double episodes...
4500 miles already.

I hate math :(

Did the show ever give a close-up of KITT's... erm... mileage thingy? 'Cuz that'd be kinda interesting to check out, since they used different cars for the show 'n' all...

And New Orleans. 8)

If someone was feeling ambitious, it would be cool to have a map of all the known places where Kitt has been.

FYI, Knight Newbie, I deleted the dublicate post of this thread since everyone has replied here.

Come to think of it, I don't think there were any LED readouts reserved for mileage on the dash.

You know, the problem with trying to figure out KITT's mileage differs from your ordinary vehicle. After all, most drivers do not have skilled mechanics at their beck and call all the time. Nor, do their mechanics work on said vehicles every chance they can. As long as Bonnie could check to make sure no part was even a thousand miles away from wearing out, KITT could just keep driving on and on and on and on and...

I think I'd hate to be there the day that Bonnie told Kitt he needed something major done like getting a new transmission or a new engine. I'm just imagining Kitt's reaction to that not being very good.

Lol... good point.... that would be rather funny to see. But as to the wearing out of parts... KITT's computer and diagnosis capabilities would warn everyone of the emmenant problem.

The wear and tear on Kitt's parts wouldn't be a problem because he had all Highway Miles. So the engine would run more freely than city driving.

The BIG 100 POST! :P

The car was heavily damaged roughly once per year. Maybe its engine was refurbished or replaced during at least one of those times.
