Hasselhoff's New Project - And its not the movie...

From BBC Online:

David Hasselhoff says his daughters hate his music and change the channel whenever Knight Rider comes on the TV.

Hasselhoff has just brought out a compilation of oldies called David Hasselhoff Sings America, but says daughters, Taylor, 13, and Hayley, 11, hate his music.

"My daughters tell me to switch off my music when I play them my songs," he told German magazine Gala.

"And they change the channel whenever Knight Rider comes on. It's embarrassing for them to watch their father in tight jeans and a stupid hairdo chasing gangsters on TV."

But he insisted: "I am and always will be Knight Rider, until I die."

Hasselhoff said he was disappointed the 1980s show, in which he drives a talking car, had not been made into a movie.

"Up to now the film company has found all the suggestions terrible," he said.

His next project could be a sitcom about the Betty Ford Clinic where he had treatment for alcoholism after Baywatch ended.

"I want to do a funny sitcom about the Betty Ford Clinic. A possible title would be Treatment and Recovery. So many funny things happen there."

Well it's really a shame, many fans have been looking forward to seeing
a Knight Rider motion picture. But I guess it's not Hasselhoff's fault. He
tried, but failed. But then again the future hasen't been written.

Maybe we will all be surprised..

Ok...

Chakotay used a translation machine on the web

Here it is what he wanted to say:

No panic, this is a rumor, created by a german newspaper, which is always looking for some "spectacular" news... they just interpret things that aren´t there..

And every news are a copy from the german article...

I wonder if that would be different if he had sons. I mean I can understand seeing your dad in what he described could be a bit wierd, but guys might appreciate the car more.

Please, I've been around girls his daughter's age and they don't like anything to do with their parents, especially dad's. My dad was in The Andre Simone band in '84 as a keyboard player and when I was 13 I was so embarest of the fact that he had goofy hair and was on MTV. Now I really appreciate him. I LOVE KR and I'm a girl! And I know several girls that love cars. (my best friend like KR too!) Just don't stereotype girls from this please. :) Thanx!

How did I know I'd get an answer like that? I know girls like KR, heck it was my MOM that got me interested in it. Just, guys usually aren't as embarrarrased by their parents as girls are (from my personal experience anyway)-sorry

this story surfaced on teletext (an old-fashioned interactive tv news thingy we have here in the UK) last week too, but it went on into more detail about the fact that all work on the movie has ceased since david now partially owns the rights. looks like until david and glen want to try again with a different production studio that the movie is dead in the water.

(by the way, sorry i never got on to say i was gonna be away for a coupla months over christmas and new year's, kinda a last minute thing. good to be back though, i can see laura outside chopping logs ( ;) ) , lee watching the crow AGAIN!! and i can here the welcoming hum of our onboard kr database computer, mike, in the study :D )

And I need a boyfriend accepting that I am so crazy ;)

But back to topic:

The problem is that they copy the news from the others and don´t get the real informations... thats a fact...
I don´t believe the movie is down the water...
