The Knight Rider HD masters are coming to dvd according to tvshowsondvd.com . On May 3rd, seasons 1 and 2 will be released. On the same day Univeral is also releasing Miami Vice seasons 1 and 2 remastered, but still only on dvd. However, the complete Airwolf series is being released on dvd AND bluray.

Universal has made the HD masters available online now for a while. Google Play has had Knight Rider and the A-team available in HD and Netflix had Knight Rider in HD until they dropped it. It will be nice to have a physical release of these and maybe eventual blurays.

Masters...as in having all the rights restored to every song and all that? (KR was such a hot topic for acquiring all those hits of the '80s on the previous season sets.)

I'd also think Blu-Ray would be a better choice. Though, there may not be too much that can be done from the ever aging original film source except via thousands of hours with computer touch ups overcoming the issues.
