Ok we all remember K.R.O. from T.K.R. Series. Most of us loved that episode but what if you had the chance to write a story line for a prequel of Knight Reformulation One and Martin, to show what went wrong or what happen to turn them bad. Describe your storyline idea........

One thing I noticed about this episode is that they copied the pattern with Karr from the original series. We never saw how Karr went bad to be shutdown he was just in storage and reactivated.

Many years ago around the time TKR was on tv,someone created a fan fic series called TKR2.He had many stories including one where Michael and Kitt meet Jenny and her new boyfriend which led TKR2 team. His backstory was he had something to do with the technology in Kro.He was there the day th test drive run was scheduled on a test track.Kro killed 7 men.

I had something else in mind similar but different.Michael and Kitt are about to retire but before they do they have to train their replacements.Bonnie has left the foundation because she has had her fill of adventure with her old friends and doesn't want to go through with it all over again with a new team.A new cybernition with other scientists are hired to create the personality bonding program between pilot and car.The test run goes bad and kro runs over several scientists responsible for its creation.Michael and Kitt try to stop them but kitt's outdated abilities leave him destroyed.a new body is built for kitt a 1997 trans amwith new abilities to keep up with Kro.Michael's final mission is to stop Kro and Martin.

A bit off topic and perhaps my wild imagination but when Volvo demonstrated the automatic emergency braking and it failed crashing to the truck, did anyone else got the feeling of KARR being shown before his de-activation :D Did Volvo really failed the brake test or did it's computer do it on purpose, trying to kill someone... hmmm.... ;)

I like to believe that the story starts out as a positive one. Michael is retiring (or "dies" etc.), KITT is put out to pasture (sorta) and FLAG decides there needs to be a replacement. They find Martin, they develop the empathic imprinting for KRO and there are some great adventures between the two where they genuinely help people and all seems well.

However, the job slowly wears Martin down, and he doesn't have the same ability to hold up against the pressure as Michael did, and KRO just takes on the qualities of its driver, and hence goes "bad" as well. Even Michael admitted he was "tired" of the adventures in KR 2000. A similar idea could be used or perhaps worse, a tragedy in Martin's life sends him over the edge.

The end result is a tragic tale where KRO and Martin have to be taken down together (Perhaps by another KR vehicle team? We saw FLAG was international in the series). This would then lead to the rationale that no "one team" would ever have all the powers/abilities etc. of Michael/KITT again and lead to the creation of TKR.

This is more of an arc than a single story. I think you'd need a good 13 episodes to really tell the tale properly.

A good 13 episodes which has to end where Kro is defeated when he runs out of gas lol.

I had thought that a more interesting story would have been that Martin and KRO had never gone bad. Instead they found out that Jim Marland was involved in criminal dealings and tries to uncover the truth. This ends up failing with Martin being sent to jail and KRO scheduled for reprograming.

This would lead into Team Knight Rider and have a large presence if the series had a second season.
