SAD NEWS....MESSAGE OF KRF

Sad News...little Hannah passed away Monday morning in her mother's arms...silently, quitely and softly. For many months this 3 year old suffered a horrible painful demise. A life cut short.

She was a very special little girl who brought happiness and love to all who met her.

Hanna's family was an inspiration, never giving up and focusing on love and compassion. I remembered meeting her and her mother Carrie. Our families became friends. I was honored when she attended 2011 KFR event downtown. Mayor Goodman loves children. I told him he would meet the children that were the inspiration for KRF. You can... see from this photo his happiness....both Jobyna and Hannah were very excited too.

During this holiday season...remember, people are more important than material items.

Time will prove this out...the new toy, electronic gadget or shiny items will fade, and become outdated...YET, the love of a child or friend is priceless and will be forever. So remember what Christmas is about.

Knight Rider Festival was created to help those who need help...to be a voice for those who can not speak, to make a difference in someone else' life.....this is the true meaning of "Christmas."

Little Hannah you will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
Love, your friend Jobyna Elizabeth Casey

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.My condolences go out to you and your family.Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things a person can go through in life.Especially when they were only around for such a short time.

Thank you for sharing that with us, Paul.

Hannah's mom kept a blog about both the fears and the many joys she had with her daughter. Here's her entry from when they attended the Knight Rider Festival - Hannah was 6 months younger than Paul Casey's own daughter Jobyna who continues to struggle with illnesses:

Knight Rider Festival benefits the Children's Miracle Network, which works to raise funds and awareness for children's hospitals throughout the country.
