on episode TOPAZ CONNECTION michael and ki2t raced the jet airplane to las vegas and how the episode went ki2t beat the plane to las vegas. how the heck did he do that when a plane average speed in air is over 300mph and the season 1-2 ki2t top speed was 200mph. even on the season 3 episode DEAD OF KNIGHT ki2t admitted to michael that they couldnt outrace a jet airplane even in his top speed. was THE TOPAZ CONNECTION a screw up or not ?? someone shed some light on this, thanx.

I dont know the distance, but maybe did the plane needed to get some fuel somewhere. Ore where KITT's route shorter. Michael also said that KITT must go to the desert.
In Knight of the Dead did they already got an head start of 15 minutes

although a plane flies certain flight pathes in the air, but isnt it faster in air than on road because you can directly get there to your destination on road you have to do certain paths to get to your destination.

In dead of knight the jet did have a headstarr while Michael was unconscious so kitt had to give the air traffic controller misguided directions to circle a few times just to make it in time.i think in Goliath we see kitts top speed being around 310 mph butnot sure if that was because Michael jery rigged a ramjjet out of kitts turbine.Kitt beat the ket to las vegas at top speed perhaps they cut through the desert and other areas the the jet couldn't fly over.

yes ki2t did top the speed of 310 mph on GOLIATH because michael did rigged a ramjet out of kitt turbines, but not a safe speed, because ki2ts computer and body couldnt candle the speeds until season 4 when super pursuit mode was invented.
