Anyone who has been with Knight Rider Online for the past seven years may recall this thread that lead you to a page that contained old Knight Rider commercials from NBC..

I'm so bummed that the page link is now dead, it was the only source I've found online that had a particular commercial with Micheal relying "on a friend, when riding through the night." It was basically a teaser to viewers who would get a taste that KITT was going to look different for the fourth season.

Does someone have this link, and would they be able to post it onto YOUTUBE?

Man, you have no idea how nostalgic this commercial has been to me. I was five when this teaser first aired, and for years, I've always had this memory of a Knight Rider commercial with an SPM KITT riding out in the night.

This memory got fumbled with the Knight Rider 2000 movie premiere introduction NBC had made, by splicing segments of the SPM KITT teaser with scenes of speedy racing footage through the city streets, (and if you see that intro, you're gonna ask yourself why Knight Rider 2000 wasn't as cool as it was advertised).

I just love how cheesy this looks because NBC was pushing the futuristic aspect of KR. There is no way KR will fade away .

Yeah, that was one of many of NBC's stupid mistakes with Knight Rider... The only thing I really remember from the premiere of KR2000 was the huge disappointment I felt along with feeling depressed from the story as well as the music. Unfortunately the people at NBCU don't learn from past mistakes in not giving fans what they want. Not to mention how hilariously outdated it looked and elements of it became before 2000 even hit. The Charles Manson "gag" at the end was rather stupid also since those guards were more than old enough to know who he was. >_<

I wonder what it would have been like if Hasselhoff had at least some control of it instead of the powers that be going the route they did, of course I think the same thing about KR08. Look what he did with Baywatch after NBC dumped it and he bought the rights from them and turned it into the most watched TV series in the history of television and made millions upon millions from it, they probably wouldn't want to repeat that mistake again.

Actually the speeding through the city stuff from the KR2000 teasers looked just like the Hyperthrust effect from Street Hawk to me

yeah nice find indeed I haven't seen either one of those other than when they actually aired...in all of the searches for knight rider videos i never saw those....good job. everyone needs a friend when there riding in the knight...lol what a line
