KITT in Smallville--double-take!!!

Post by KFCreator » Mon Oct 14, 2002 6:32 pm

I was watching the pilot episode of Smallville that I downloaded in Divx format from Kazaa last night on my iMac and I swore I saw KITT in one scene--but upon closer inspection, it wasn't--but it was still really funny and cool!!! Check out the scene where the meteors are raining down on the downtown part of Smallville about 5 or 6 minutes into the episode and look closely at the scene following immediately after one of the meteors slams through one window of a building and out another on the other side of the building. The meteor hits a parked truck/van and for a split second after impact, the camera switches over to a view showing the explosion and flames right next to a black 1982 Trans Am and right at the front nose is what I guess is supposed to be a small bright red part of the explosion, but from the angle, it looks like KITT's scanner on the Trans Am! *LOL* I'll try and get a screen capture of the exact moment but for those of you who want to see for yourself, view the Smallville pilot episode!

ok, here's a clip! :-) BTW--the red thing in front of the Trans Am's nose doesn't move in the clip, so maybe it was KITT after all?? Hmmmm....

You're running KaZaa on your iMac? Like how? Do you
have VirtualPC on it running some version of Windows?
Or have the KaZaa ppl brought out a version for Mac?

no,I should clarify--I downloaded the video from Kazaa on my roommate's computer using Kazaa and then transferred it via our network connection to my iMac where I can watch it. I suppose you could use Kazaa with Virtual PC but I'm (along with just about all mac users) still waiting for those lazy people at Sharman Networks to come out with a Kazaa client for OS X.

I personally think it's just a reflection speck from the camera but it's a really cool find!!

It looks to be a reflection speck because if it was to be a scanner then it's not really lined up where it is supposed to be. It's a few inches below where the scanner is usually placed.

So i think this is all coincidental but once again, a good find!

The good thing about it is, is that it is a 1982 TA, indeed!

That is just downright strange. Excellent find. And, I suppose that the era the pilot was taking place in would place an 1982 T/A at just about a year or two old. But, to have a red flare up appear RIGHT THERE, of all places, is...well...downright strange. Excellent find. And, I suppose...I'm repeating myself. Must be Kryptonite poisoning my processing abilities...
