It's old, whomever wrote it accidentally confused "full season" with "second season" you can tell by looking at the links for the previous and next articles.

Yeah, until I see it in a more reliable source like Variety or the Hollywood Reporter, I wouldn't get your hopes too high.

Best to keep an eye on this page:

The trades are usually first with such news. And they originally broke the Hasselhoff cameo in the TV Movie first, if I recall correctly.

I looked KNight Rider up on that site and found this:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/con ... 7fbdb?pn=2
Quoting from there:
Best sound editing: Longform sound effects and foley in television
Crusoe: "Rum & Gunpowder"
CSI: NY "My Name is Mac Taylor (#508 aka 100th)"
Fringe: "Pilot"
Generation Kill: "A Burning Dog -- Episode 5"
Knight Rider: "Prometheus - Pilot"
I think that's pretty cool. ^_^

I found this quote on a website
"In case you are still watching the show, it has about five weeks to pick up the ratings -- or it probably won't return for a second season.
"This is really the network's reboot. They don't like when I say that, but these are marching orders, coming down," Thompson said.
For now, "Knight Rider" can be seen on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC."

It is nine days old but somehow (man your gonna hit me when I tell you) I'm guessing the show hasnt been picked up yet.

Yep saw that coming.
hey Punkmaster, dont shoot the messenger, I am trying to keep everyone updated just like everyone else.
I wish it was offical that KR was picked up for a second season, it would make a lot of people including me very happy. Hell I'd be happy if they would let the cast film the 22 episodes, and gve us a fighting chance to recover in the ratings.

i thinking filming 18-22 now wouldnt make the best episodes, because they would be rushing it, in my opinion.

I agree GT, the best we can do now is, hope the ratings climb and push for season two.

This is from the interview with the UK's Sci-Fi Now magazine that I posted about a few months ago which some people on here refused to believe as I didn't have photographic evidence. This is PROOF that GST messed this up!
The pilot had a great cast and all the pieces in place to make a proper KR series, a potential hit, or at the very least a show with good enough ratings to guarantee renewal. The fact that he decided to add in a contradictory background for Mike, change Sarah into basically a different character, and sideline Charles and Carrie just to bring in his new premise and new characters shows utter incompetence. Don't even get me started on the fact that he ignored lots of elements of the Dave Andron pilot and the original series! Who does that?! Who gets asked to do a series and then changes everything from what has gone before into something completely different?! Idiot.
I hear the rebooted episodes are great. The fact that he has publicly slated NBC's decision to reboot the show back to being more like the original just shows he doesn't want to make a programme like the original, he wants to carry on with his "Fast & The Furious: The TV Show" instead. He's just egotistical in my opinion! Using the KR name to make a completely different show for himself. Happened with every attempt to bring the series back, but this time the pieces were in place and he STILL changed everything and contradicted the pilot movie - any writer/producer worth their salt just simply doesn't DO that! You hone it for a weekly seires, change the few bits that maybe didn't work, the same with all series after a pilot movie/episode... You don't change so much that you make it a completely different show that contradicts the previous stories!!
Do you really think this guy is the best to carry on with KR if it is renewed? I don't! Sack him NBC and give it to someone else!!

Yes I agree.
If Knight RIder is lucky enough to get renewed then someone else should take over running it..
