Does anyone have the sound file of KITT's new scanner sound effect?

Dang. Does anyone else? By the way, I think you're right, but somehow it seems to make a different sound while in attack mode. I was looking for both.Lost Knight wrote:I don't have a file for the sound effect, but isn't it the same sound as the scanner from the original series?
The use of the scanner sound, by the way, is something I think the new series got wrong, because it makes the sound effect 24/7 whereas classic K.I.T.T.'s only went off when he scanned something.
Dude thats not the scanner sound from the pilot, it was more of a high pitch sound.taoworm2323 wrote:Here ya go.

It's the badass updated scanner sound effect from the 2 hour pilot. It's what my scanner sound will be on my KI3T.
Hope this helps!
The one they use on the series is the old scanner effect.
Those can be found a dime a dozen on the net.

The episode does'nt have the sound effect.MIKEMAC wrote:Did anyone notice when Kitt crashed into Karr the turbo boost "sound" we all know and love was back? It's hard to hear it but listen close enough when he crashed it was there. I just can't find the video from youtube that has that part and the sound is loud. Re-watch the scene and you will hear it.
A clear version of the scanner is not easy to come by mate theres not many instances in the show were the scanner sound was playing that did'nt have some type of background noise, the sound quality on the dvd's are'nt that great either and tryin to grab one from new KR is even harder with all the other effects going on, even the one from the Davilex Knight Rider game has some hiss in it.Knight007 wrote:I really need help in finding a clear sound for KITT scanner.
Yes I can find on the net, but all got some kind of nosie in the back ground.
Help any one?
Dude, yes it is the scanner sound from the show. I cleaned it up and looped it for my KI3T conversion. I f you don't think mine sounds like the scanner than here is proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJzqZiiM ... =1&index=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;GarthKnight08 wrote:Dude thats not the scanner sound from the pilot, it was more of a high pitch sound.taoworm2323 wrote:Here ya go.

Thats just a sound that was added to get that "woo factor" for the teaser. The actual pilot scanner sound is in that wav that i posted. It was ripped from the pilot itself!taoworm2323 wrote:Dude, yes it is the scanner sound from the show. I cleaned it up and looped it for my KI3T conversion. Yeah since I have the 'old' KITT (in a KR2000 red body) I wanted to keep the original scanner sound for him, but the KI3T Mustang I have I wanted to be more menacing as he was in the pilot. The original pilot was supposed to make KI3T more menacing. Like he would eat you up in a small alleyway.lunchmeat wrote:Taoworm, that scanner sound is AWESOME. Man, I almost wish they'd used that for KARR....it sounds so menacing! It's actually kind of scary. It makes the car sound more like it's a really large tank or something. If I was in a dark warehouse and I heard KI3T's current scanner, I'd think it was weird, but I don't think I'd freak out. If I heard this sound, though, I'd probably *?$# my pants.
I think I remember hearing this in the pilot - when KI3T first activates in the garage, there's this low buzzing sound as his scanner comes on. I suppose that sound was this...
If you turn the volume up really loud, there's a sound that's similar to the old turbo boost, but its very hard to discern. It's masked by the sound of the crash and explosion too, so it may be a bit of an anomaly. I wouldn't say that they brought back the original turbo boost sound though.weeezl wrote:The episode does'nt have the sound effect.MIKEMAC wrote:Did anyone notice when Kitt crashed into Karr the turbo boost "sound" we all know and love was back? I know the vid your referring too, it was made by our very own Taoworm23 who coincedentally made another turbo boost vid with the original sound effect in, makes all the difference. Why they never used that sound or re-created something similar is beyond me.
