Jibes

Do you think it'd be appropriate to acknowledge the new series with some jabs and jibes in the movie. For example,
"It's a trans-am!"
"What did you think it'd be? A mustang?"
or
"It's bullet-proof! Armour plating?"
"Well it's not like nano-skin would stop anything!"
"oh wow! Does it transform too?"
"What? Like into a truck or something? Don't be silly!"
"Bit small for a garage?"
"Yeah what did you expect? An aircraft hangar?"
Or would it be in too poor a taste?
